Some responsibilities include:

Follows recipes and or production directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting and baking. Variation to recipes needs to be discussed with the Executive Chef.

Cooks a variety of food including but not limited to pizza, burgers soup and salads on the cafeteria line in front of our customers or follows Space Force recipes to create entrees in the kitchen.

Cleans and sanitizes work area and kitchen equipment.

The Front Cashier/ Food Service Worker calculates and accepts payments at the Beachcomber and Breakers Dining Facility on VSFB. Other tasks include helping the team out by prepping food, restocking fridges and on the go items, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen, serving and dining areas. Evening Food Service Worker FT-
The Evening Food Service Worker independently performs a wide variety of manual tasks in food preparation and food service areas including:

Prepare all food according to military guidelines.

Sets up food service counters, steam tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter and beverages. Serves food cafeteria-style directly to diners in serving line. Prepares tables and service stands by cleaning and setting up necessary condiments, flatware and other articles.

Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving by washing, peeling, scraping and dicing. Cuts and shreds lettuce, slices tomatoes, cuts lemons, prepares butter chips and opens cans. Operates electric machinery. Makes coffee, tea, ice water and other beverages. Portions out food by placing uniform amount in small serving dishes.
