As California faces severe budget challenges, it is important that the voices and interests of people with disabilities are heard loud and clear by legislators in Sacramento.. Having the support to live, work and take part in the community are rights guaranteed persons with developmental disabilities by the California State law known as the Lanterman Act.  Our elected officials should be encouraged to keep budget cuts as far removed from the persons receiving services and supports as possible.
